Bella Birthday Challenge One done

So our lovely Sparkle at SCS wanted us to make a card using 7 layers and 3 embellies and this is what I came up with. It was fun and the first time I have ever actually sewn on a card front. Wasnt so hard once I actually attempted it.

  1. This is so adorable!!I just love all those layers! Thanks for the sweet comment over at SCS! The techinque for those cards is that I use a very pale/light, opalescent embossing powder. Lindy's Stamp Gang makes gorgeous ones (ATRS sells them). I emboss first (using Versamark) on heavy white cardstock. Then I spray with the glimmer mist. Let most of it sink into the paper a few minutes or so and then wipe the excess that's on your embossed areas off with q-tip or carefully blot with tissue. Otherwise, if you use your heat gun prior to getting it off the embossed areas, the glimmer mist will melt into your embossing powder. I find the image comes out much crisper then just using resist inkpads.
    Hope that helps!
